We now have many maps with shooting (look in our servers section).
Oh, I've disabled Megashot, so you can't destroy walls with shooting.

Round 12 is now CTF. For some reason when you pick the flag up, you can no longer see it. I will fix this in due course.
I'm not sure CTF really works on Wild, it confuses many people. I will leave it up for a while and see how it goes.

I preferred it a LOT more when it was a seperate server for shooting and ctf. It is far too complicated now, there are many established players who don't know how to play ctf or how to shoot, imagine what a new player will be like.

and the zombies and death explosions are just poo.

It's only been up a couple of hours, give it a chance.

We're unable to run 2 servers die to bandwidth limitations.
So, if we want shooting, it has to be on Wild.
Me, I love shooting, and zombies.

Well, I dont like it as it is now. In my opinion Crazy Tronners Wild FORTRESS is a fortress server, isn't it? Capture the Flag isn't fortress and shooting is so far away from fortress as possible. I agree with Infamous, most people get confused because they don't expect Capture the Flag or shooting because they think they're on a fortress server. But if you want it, it's your server and you can do with it what you want to. But if this goes on, I think I'll say goodbye to Crazy Tronners Wild FORTRESS.

Remember when z-man introduced a cycle width value to his cvs fortress? I kind of feel like that.
Although I like the CTF maps, I agree, they seem to confuse many people.
I agree with Xevi on the shooting though. It's still fortress, but you can shoot. And you get chased by zombies. And when a player get's killed he leaves an explosion that kills opposing team members.
Since when is Speed Dome or Chico Time fortress?

the only thing i don't like is that i never see if it is sty or CTF or normal fortress anyway you get that in the center of the screan in red or something

If it's shooting it says "Round n - Shooting - Map Name".
Round 12 is always CTF and it says "Final Round - CTF - Mapname"
Keep an eye on the Center Massage.

I don't mind shooting actually, but the zombies and explosions make it unreadable sometimes, you try to get away from the zombie while not boxing yourself in and an enemy takes your zone. I think it would work better if it was just shooting, have you tried that?

and ctf just doesnt work, half the team don't know how to play and there is always someone Defending the wrong zones.

like i said earlier, i wish it was just ct server and ctf server.

why integrate these two when they work so well individually

Shooting doese not bother me

havent tried it yet, but i can imagine it will be weird. some rounds changin i will die quick.

for example before i was playing and it went to chico and i died cos i grinded

shooting will be even more annoying - "hey were is the zone, ugh im dead"

I've messed around with a few settings.

The max kill explosion radius is now 8, not 18, and it will vanish quicker.
Max shot size is now 3 not 5, so no more huge shots.
Zombies are now a bit easier to kill.

I've also discovered a setting
ZOMBIE_ZONE_FALL
by default, 0, so zombie zones can only be destroyed by shooting. But give it a value and zombie zone will reduce by itself over time.
This means I can add zombies without needing shooting.

well ed as i said before, i'm not sure about zombies without shooting...

but we can try it, but maybe in a few weeks when people get used to current settings, we are making so much changes.

and each time it pass i'm less sure ctf fits on wild FORTRESS, but anyway i hope we can change the name to CT WILD GAMES, it sounds more cool, maybe a poll? i will.
