Well, the first two goals were based on good teamwork, but goal 3 and 4 were mainly scored because Italy had to play more risky, even with one man less.
Nevertheless, you're right, they outplayed Italy and definitely deserved the win, but I wonder how a match against teams like France, Germany or Netherlands had ended. We will never know, because those teams didn't make it into the finals. However, and in contrast to the recent tournaments, Spain showed weaknesses this time, although there are players like Xavi, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso or Jordi Alba (who was the best player in the tournament in my opinion) in their rows. I'm sure that future tournaments will be more difficult to win for them. |

It was a tough match, though. You can't say that Spain really dominated them. |

Well, maybe Spain played worse until the final. But only Italy was able of score us a goal in the first match, and all teams Spain played, "put the bus" in front of their goalkeeper (as we said in Spain  ). They played ultradefensive against Spain.
Despite this, Spain scored 11 goals. Well, not oir best eurocup, but we were the best team. Netherlands sucked (it was a surprise), France lost vs us (and for me they were the other favorite with Spain for winning the Eurocup) and Germany fell with Italy (and Italy pwned them) |
