Your goal should never to speak like another person, period. You should find your own voice, and do your best to present that voice in a precise and intelligent manner. No offence to Phyto, whom I consider a friend, but he has a strong tendency to use words as weapons. Personally, I prefer to use words to amuse, inform, and teach. I fail to see how what he does at times teaches anybody anything. Especially when it is so full of ill-tempered things that it is downright acerbic.
