what about a classic play with random maps.

maybe use the CT wild maps without fortress zones and add more spawn points.

some levels would suck, and some would need major modifications

Sounds like a good plan. Did you ever play the CT nonfortress? Basically a classic play server with the same settings as fortress.
It was fun, and with maps it would would be moreso.

I am going to concentrate on the 2v2 arena, when I have time, which I don't have much of.
Need to prioritise. Sorry.

Certainly for idea's. Obviously don't go stealing other peoples maps without their permission.

It would be a big job to go through, test, create new ones, put them all together to create a server that gels as a whole. Test some more, modify, tweak.

Like I said, at the moment due to time constraints, it's not going to be me.

That's not to say I don't like the idea. I think it would make an interesting server.

I like the idea too. Using random maps with lots of obstacles will make the gameplay more enjoyable than the classic play (big wide empty boring map).

mmm, sounds good both, perhaps when we have the first alpha settings we can make a poll to decide.
