Pwn is a leetspeak slang term, derived from the verb "own", as meaning to appropriate or to conquer to gain ownership. The term implies domination or humiliation of a rival, used primarily in the Internet gaming culture to taunt an opponent who has just been soundly defeated (e.g. "You just got pwned!").
Several examples of people being pwned:

This is a clear example of one player being pwned. Usually players being pwned use to complain as: "I was playing alone" "You were ganking all time" But really this is a kind of desesperation.

At the same way, when finally they get some virtual advantadge and they try to pwn other players, the fact is really that the result is the same, and they complain as: "You are a lucker" "You are a lagger" "I was suiciding all time", etc.

excuse me professor, but where's that screen from yesterday's game on dogfight with you and subz getting pwned by some guy (can't remember his nickname, but it has something to do with a picture of a surprised owl)? Very Happy
