what is the blank?
and another one,
o There is a team of three people in a room.
o The master of ceremonies (MC) places either a green sticker or a red sticker on each person's back. The colors are chosen randomly.
o People are allowed to see other people's stickers, but not their own. They may not communicate.
o Simultaneously each person must write one of three things on a sheet of paper without seeing what others write. The choices are:
I guess my sticker is green. I guess my sticker is red. I have no guess.
o The MC collects the papers.
If at least one person has made a correct guess and nobody has made an incorrect guess, the team wins.
If there is an incorrect guess or no guesses, the team loses.
o The team knows the rules beforehand and can agree on a strategy.
it is a 3/4 chance of winning, what is the strategy?[/quote]
Urm 100% chance of winning if the strategy is by choosing the remaining colour you see on the other guys back? If there is two people and it's only two colours (green and red) then there is zero chance of loosing if he always selects the remaining sticker. Am I missing something here?
That sounds too easy is there a catch to this? |

either a green sticker or a red sticker on each person's back. I understood that as two colours and 2 people with stickers. I also didn't say guess the other guys colour I said check the other guys sticker and then that leaves the remaining colour as the one on your back.
I thought the MC was not participating in the game but only referring the game. Because if the MC knows which colours are being placed then that only leaves the other two to guess and that's pretty much choosing the opposite colour you see on the other guys back.
explain it better next time. |

2 people say "I have no guess", one person guesses a color at random. |
