History.

Cardinal_Richelieu was beneath the king, actually more than one king, of France in terms of pure power. He did serve as the first "Prime Minister" but served with the permission and blessing of the King. However, as a practical matter Cardinal Richelieu did wield more power over the people than the ruling French King did. He could have through political machinations, killed or destroyed the King. And no King of France during the time that Cardinal Richelieu was around could have easily reigned without the Cardinal's support and help.
Kyle is the Cardinal Richelieu of CT. He has been around though several Clan Leaders, and will continue to be around after the current one moves on, if history repeats itself. Never doubt the power of the geek.

Funny, I tried to leave a little after woned became leader, but started to write down what i did in CT and then decided i could not leave, and i thought i would take a break from tron. I could not let myself do any of that, I've gotten to used to coming here and reading these forums for the last 6.5 years almost everyday That you are probably right, I won't ever leave.

That being said Kyle does hold the power to make and destroy but the leaders belong to the people, so without the people their reign is empty. POWER OF THE PEASANTS!
