...yes, wanted to talk about the leaderboard yet again.

I think the 3 week limit is just gay. Why not make another leaderboard (perhaps one that you can only veiw from this site) that is more long term. So you would need to have played 1000 rounds over 210 days or something.

or just replace the 3 week gayness with it.

How can a ladder be gay?
It prefers other ladders of the same sex rather than ladders of the opposite sex?
And you can tell this because it discards all data over 21 days old?

The sexual preferences of the ctwf ladder aside, I quite like the idea of a more long term ladder. A more masculine ladder, one that likes girl ladders. Not a poncy ladder that spends most evenings at the local ladder gay bar poncing around with his other 21 day gay ladder friends.

One potential problem, the ladder (officially out of the closet now), collects a hell of a lot of data, anything (other than match results) over 21 days old is removed permanently from the database at the end of each day. I'm not sure how the database would cope with 6 months worth. Hey, maybe the database is gay too?
I'm sure something could be worked out there. Maybe just keep the important details in a seperate table or sumsuch.

Plus, we (I use "we" loosely here, read "voodoo") have managed to merge our hacks into the latest 0.2.8 branch of arma, giving us all the benefits of moving zones, extra ladder data, etc as well as armathentication.
Unfortunately this means the ladders needed rewriting somewhat as the logs have changed. I've pretty much finished this on flowersumo ladder, I just have many other niggles I need to iron out with that one.
This hopefully can be ported across fairly easily to ctwf. Kyle, give us a shout when you have time.

it will probably be a month till i have time. lots of stuff. working every day of the week at this time. I have been trying to create a new script in the little time i have (that i am not too tired)

Perhaps a less detailed ladder could be used long term?

that way all ladder homosexuality would be kept to a minimum.
