That myths page is sort of OK up to the point where it talks about web standards. First of all, the percentage of standards support doesn't say anything, at least not enough to compare two browsers. Then a page that only uses what's in the HTML 4.01 standard is boring, what really counts is good CSS support, and IE 6 (and 7) are lagging far behind in that respect.
Another weird point is that it says that a page that was not tested in Firefox won't work with it. Far from it again. Unless the page was created by Frontpage or uses microsoft-specific “standards” or complex javascript with outdated browser checks there's a very good chance it'll work. That's what standards are for, after all. And I wonder where the author got that “10-15% of web sites aren't completely compatible with Firefox” from. The linked source doesn't tell, and I doubt anyone could state a number that's reasonable.
I won't lose any word on pishing filters (and what good they are compared to telling people to not switch off their brains when switching off their computers).
Anyways, Opera, Konqueror, Safari, Firefox, Dillo, Lynks, Elinks, w3m, netcat, telnet, whatever, use whatever you like as long as it doesn't drive web develpers mad (rough ranking of my personal preference included in the list ). |

Never heard of something that is usuable out of the box without installing 42 extensions providing basic functionality, all needing upgrading once in a while and some breaking if you update firefox? With opera you just do a gesture, OK that dialog box once, and you're done. |

i used to play with firefox. addons are greate, if you want you can run tight ff (no plugins, oldschool surfing the web) but you can allways add special abilities like this imnsho the best extension
but last days i found K-Meleon browser, based on gecko engine. I was supprized that youtube can run so quick on my PC.
btw.

opera isn't the fastest browser on my PC (win32 5.1.2600.xpsp.051011-1528 with 3/8 of GB sdram and 1GHz celeron2); k-meleon is. |
