A friend of mine is now homeless. The insurance company has yet to even admit to having to cover the damage which is in the six figures. He works at Microsoft, though, so perhaps Bill Gates will help him out.

Here's a quote from him...

"I was not in the spare bedroom it directly crashed into (I would have been killed), but the room next door (another bedroom) the tree came in diagonally and collapsed the closet and corner of the room, drywall rained from above. My instinct was to get as low as possible so I dove to the floor next to a sturdy wooden bed. My friend (who's from CA used to earthquakes) got under a door frame.. My friend and I were thinking the entire place was gonna collapse, so I grabbed my two cats and a few possessions and took off. We went to the next door neighbor's house and stayed there for the rest of the storm.. When I got back in the morning, another tree had fallen and taken out the master bedroom. My cats are now living with some friends of mine and I'm homeless. I'm staying with various friends until I find out if my insurance company will get my an apt or hotel while repairs are going on."

I feel for you're friend, when I was younger my family and I were forced out of the house because something was wrong with the house (not exactly sure) we had to move out before even finding a new house, our whole block was evacuated. Anything I can do to help?
